Blue Platypus Handbag and Tee Review and Giveaway

Creative, Fun, Unique, Vintage, Original...these are all words that come to mind when I think of Blue Platypus. Blue Platypus was created in 2003 by three amazing people (Heidi, Scooter, and Dave) in sunny, South Pasadena, California. Heidi, Scooter, and Dave are mid-century modernists at heart and have found inspirations for their products in various places. Their biggest inspiration comes from vintage furniture and clothing mostly from the 1920's to 1970's. Blue Platypus is far from boring traditional and boring.

Blue Platypus offers several items with the majority of their product line featuring Shirts for Women. But, they aren't your ordinary shirts you'd find anywhere else. These shirts speak for themselves. Blue Platypus strives to create images that are strong on their meaning and they try to occasionally have a word-orientation design. Many of their designs feature on the back or sleeve as well as the front so it will create a 360-degree interest. Here is just a small sample of a few of the designs I love most.

Blue Platypus also offers super cute Handbags that are sure to be a favorite no matter who you are. The roomy caryall tote is made of apholstery fabric (which makes the bag super durable) and dark brown wooden handles. The bag is approximately 20" wide and 15" tall and features an inside pocket with a zipper. Blue Playtpus generously sent me the Blue Houndstooth Carpet Bag to review and I absolutely LOVE it. Not only is the pattern super cute, but the bag is practical and roomy as well. I love that I can take it with me wherever I go and it looks great with pretty much everything! I've even taken the bag with me to church filled with books for the kids and I can't tell you how many compliments I received. The Houndstooth Carpet Bag is my new favorite accessory and will for sure get plenty of use!

One of the things I love most about Blue Platypus is that all of their products are custom designed, sewn, dyed and printed in California. All of the graphics are their original artwork, sihlouettes are custom, and they aim to make all of their t-shirts with a surface interest (meaning fuzzy, shiny, etc...).

Kinder Keepsakes Luvi Blanket Review and Giveaway

Aly Porter is not only a mother, a daughter, a friend, and a wife, but she is also the owner of Kinder Keepsakes.
